Sorry the update to the website is so late this month. It is due to a very busy two weeks, firstly madly baking for Diamond Jubilee events in our little town and also making a Fairy Castle birthday cake for my granddaughter, then having my family all to stay for a week. With three young grandchildren and a very busy week I didn’t get time to go online to update the site.

However it’s now done and June’s free machine embroidery designs are available to download. I’ve gone summery with a seagull and a classic child’s bucket.

We had a lovely time celebrating the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee here. I helped our Women’s Institute  with a cake stall. It was very cold and windy but we sold everything. They also had a competition judged by the local baker. I was very shocked when my Victoria sponge won a first prize! I got a lovely red, white and blue 2 tier cake stand for my prize. On Sunday I watched the river pageant which I thought was fantastic and on the Monday our British Legion club (which my other half is a committee member of) had a street party and hog roast. It was a great success and the food was lovely.

As all my family arrived on the Monday we then spent lots of time on the beach – despite not very summery weather. The older two children were obviously in Royal mode as they built Buckingham Palace in the sand! Well that was their description, and they added the Union Jack flags to complete it. We had a lovely week doing child friendly things and while much of England was very wet we didn’t have much rain at all, though it was extremely windy and not very warm for June.

I have added several more new designs to the website. They include a couple of summer designs. This beach hut design is a good one for cushions. There are two larger designs with a sunset background which would look good on home furnishings or a wall hanging. There is also a very cute children’s cat design and a sweet West Highland Terrier for dog lovers.
